AJ is the devil and the Ace temptation

This hand has gotten me in trouble so many times. I think the value comes from that giant A staring at you in the face and then just goading you to call. But as you learn in time unless you get a K10Q rainbow flop your screwed. But sometimes you just want to play even tho you know what the other people are playing and that Ace stares at you A5o or A9o but I am surprised that Andy Bloch has a favorite hand of A5s it was talked about over a blog b/c A3s would be a stronger hand with no 234 flop affected by hole cards 56 the later would be better in a 245 flop where nuts of 36 hole cards which is a rare hand to start with. His reason was a flop of 55x against 56 just somethings good to think about when you compare the Ace in the hole.

Early play in step 1 wsop satilite I folded because little information and bad position

In terms of cool, I'm like a blazing inferno. said...

lol. There's not much you can do in that situation. You didn't have that much money behind and that guy made a retarded play when you already committed yourself to the pot by betting out half your stack. In any case, you just take those beats. Can't do anything about bad play.

I don't know why you posted that AJ hand either. Who cares if you fold AJ UTG in the first limit. =/

I posted the AJ because I was talking about the horrors of coming in with an A and weak kicker

1. punctuation is your friend.

2. if u really think u could have played that KJ hand differently u are dumb.

3. did u purposely buy in short to this table or did u just lose pots? by raising, you put in almost 20% of your stack with K high out of position. what happens when you miss? u didn't play the hand badly but in the long run, this is not a good spot for u.

as a clarification to points 2/3. you played perfectly post-flop. its your table selection and pre-flop decision i question.

with only 3 players on a 9 table I figure my KJ actually went up in equity for the raise I was just playing the loose role as for table selection peeps just kept dropping like flies. And I didn't buy in short I donkeyed 5 off and then peeps got lucky off me.
